Phase 1 of the €1.5-billion international Square Kilometre Array (SKA) radio telescope project will involve the erection of 250 dishes in South Africa and Australia, which will co-host the instrument. This has been revealed to Engineering News by the SKA Organisation, the Manchester, UK, based not-for-profit company that is leading the programme.
